In October 2007 Erich Bitter presented the Bitter Vero to the press and the Bitter enthusiasts community in his former hometown of Schwelm. Two silver Bitter Veros were presented during an impressive show with the Bitter Horsepower phylosophy as theme.
A few weeks later the Bitter Vero was officially revealed to a wider audience on the 2007 Essen Motor Show. On the 2008 Geneva Motorshow a silver and a dark red Bitter Vero were on display. On the 2009 Geneva Motorshow three Bitter Veros were on display, i.e. a white Vero Sedan, an anthractite Vero Sedan and a brand new green-blue Vero Sport.
Bitter announced that from then on the Vero Sedan and Vero Sport could be provided with different motorisations, i.e. 3.6 litre V6 with 265 hp, 6.0 litre V8 with 365 hp, 6.0 litre V8 with compressor and 550 hp (sequential gearbox) and 6.0 litre V8 with compressor and 600 hp (manual gearbox). The compressor engines were built for HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) by Walkinshaw Performance.
At first The Bitter Vero had to be ordered directly from the Erich Bitter Automobile GmbH in Ennepetal but in 2008 three dealers were appointed in Germany and one in the Czech Republic.
Approximately 10 Bitter Veros were built when it was decided to stop the production in 2009.
