The Holden Caprice is a full-size rear-wheel drive sedan built by Holden in Australia between 1990 and 1999 (first generation), between 1999 and 2006 (second generation) and between 2006 and 2017 (third generation).

The Holden Caprice typically had a right-hand drive configuration but the 1999 and 2006 models were also produced with left-hand drive configuration for export mainly to the Middle East where they were sold as Chevrolet Caprice.

The 2006 Holden Caprice WM and its sister model the Holden Statesman WM were based on the Holden Commodore VE that was launched in the same year. Although very similar, the Caprice WM and the Statesman WM were marketed as two different cars. The Caprice WM was marketed as the more sporty, the Statesman WM as the more comfortable.

In 2010 the pricing strategy and offerings of the Holden Caprice WM were adjusted to fill the gap left by the discontinued Holden Statesman WM. The Caprice WM Series II range was split into the Caprice and the Caprice V. In 2013 The Holden Caprice WM was succeeded by the Holden Caprice WN. In 2015 the Caprice WN Series II was launched and was only offered as Caprice V.
