The Opel Kadett was a small family car built between 1962 and 1991. The Opel Kadett A was built between 1962 and 1965, the Opel Kadett B was built between 1965 and 1973, the Opel Kadett C was built between 1973 and 1979, the Opel Kadett D was built between 1979 and 1984 and the Opel Kadett E was built between 1984 and 1991. In 1991 the Opel Kadett was replaced with the Opel Astra.
The Opel Kadett C was the last model to have rear-wheel drive and was offered in numerous variants, i.e. 4-door saloon, 2-door saloon, 2-door estate (Caravan), 2-door hatchback (City) and 2-door coupé.
In 1976 Opel presented another special body variant, i.e. the Opel Kadett Areo. The Opel Kadett Aero 1.6 S was used as base for the Bitter Super Aero.
